Bumbu | Wooden Iceberg

Rising silently from the deep blue sea, the Grand Iceberg is a fortress of the North. It drifts slowly through the polar waters, offering a safe haven for weary seals and a playground for adventurous penguins. With its towering peaks and slippery slopes, it stands as a beautiful reminder of the wild, frozen power of the Arctic.

Scenery pieces like this Iceberg are essential for contextual learning. They transform a pile of animal figures into a functioning ecosystem. Children learn about habitats (where do seals sleep?), spatial relationships (up high vs. down low), and balance (placing animals on the ledges requires fine motor coordination). It also serves as a calming visual anchor for quiet time or storytelling.

This is a substantial piece of craftsmanship. Carved from a large block of sustainable solid wood (Lime), it retains the natural weight and warmth of the tree. The artisans at BumbuToys use a special layering technique with water-based paints to achieve the "glacial blue" effect—darker at the base and fading to snowy white at the peak, mimicking the way light hits real ice.
